I tried, Miranda.

My HSKS roomie tagged me to do a Mosaic, and after 2 tries, I can't. Apparently, people can block their pictures from being used.

Ugh.

Retail Therapy Looks Good on Me

So, I did some shopping today for summer tops and things. I bought this top knowing the Eric would love it. I pulled my hair back, and I was shocked how different I looked. I should shop more often.

I bought these shoes, too, to surprise him. I went ahead and got them in both colors! Fun!

since June 19th...

Have you ever had a weekend so bad that you couldn't find the strength to blog about it? It was beyond exhausting to think about, let alone relive the misery by blogging about it. But today... Well, today, I realized that there are people who actually check in on me, and I need to actually post so they didn't they Dega and I ran off to live in secret. So, here's the past week... Feel free to pity me...

On the 19th, I left work and drove to physical therapy. It was going well, and I was excited about getting back to my normal self. After therapy, I drove home and picked up Dega and my stuff for the weekend. I was driving home for the Rodgers Family Reunion. We were going to camp out or stay in cottages at Hueston Woods in Ohio. So, anyways... I drove to Eric's house that night. It was great to see him. It always is. Eric only has Monday and Tuesday off; so, when he went to work on Friday morning, I drove down to my old office to meet Colleen for lunch. We went to PF Changs, and as always, it was great seeing her. After that, I met Eric by his work, and we drove out to the campgrounds. We got all set up for me to camp. Eric wasn't going to stay that night since he had basically been up since 4am on Thursday. While I was erecting the tent with him though, I asked some of the family to keep an eye on Dega. I had no idea they would let him lick beer from the rim of their beer cans. I was ready to flip out. They kept blaming the dog... I was not amused. The weekend continued on that rate. I barely spent any time with family. I froze that night. It was quite cold, but I got up and ran a zillion errands for other people. Eric showed up after work, and I couldn't have been more excited to see him. I was thinking that we could go horseback riding or get a canoe. Well, we got sent on another trip to WalMart. Well, on our way back, some stupid bitch cut across the parking lot on her cell. To avoid hitting her, Eric swerved straight into a concrete pole and broke something important on the truck. By time, we limped it back to the campsite to get my stuff and my car and let my family know I had to leave, it was pouring. Not that anyone cared if we were okay or what happened, they were all drunk. We did leave though... It took about 2 hours to get home. We ate dinner together and went to bed.

I hate family reunions. Through all of that, I only took a few pictures. I think I'll end with that.

New hair and silly things of that sort...

Eric and I when he drove up to take care of me after my surgery last weekend. He was completely adorable and a doll. I am one lucky girl.
Shots of the new hair... I highlighted it blonde again. I really like it, and I think every time I go back, I'm going to have her go brighter and more blonde. The bottom shot is of Dega and I right before I went to bed. He looks so scruffy that it is definitely time for a bath.
When I first moved to IN, I put all of my knitting projects in progress in this box for easy moving. Apparently, Dega wanted to check it all out.
The second the camera flashed, he sat down like this. I take it as, "Mom, I wasn't going to eat your yarn."
I am now just using bandaids now to cover the stitches. This is Dega's place to lay and watch me. He often does that head tilt when I am holding the camera. Kinda like, "Mom, what are you doing?"
Dega and I at Chix with Stix in Forest Park... He went to get a bath yesterday, and then, we made the trek out there. I was actually headed further north, but traffic wouldn't let me be there in time. So, we stopped here. Kelly loves to play with him.

Knee Surgery, Knitted Socks, Missing the Boyfriend! Oh, my!

The knee after surgery... Dega slept beside it a lot. The knee feels like crap. I'm doing okay though. Learning that it is not that easy to just get back up and walk on it though...
Dega, my great leg protector...
Taking a break from being the great leg protector...
I did finish a pair of socks out of being stuck on the couch... There were made with Jitterbug in Jewel. I used the Grapevine pattern from More Sensational Socks. LOVE THEM!!!
This is Eric and I at the Coca Cola 600 race. I can't wait for him to come to visit tomorrow. I miss him, and it'll be nice to lay on the couch and just veg with him. I adore the boy, but sometimes, him being in Ohio makes me wants to go home and get a job flipping burgers just to be closer.... I know I couldn't afford my great yarn habit then though. So, until we figure something else out, at least, we are only 4 hours apart.
