So, I'm not having a good day. Work seemed like it lasted forever, and I even left an hour early. I came home to a headache, and it's only gone down hill from there. After being really pushed one insult too far, I decided to finish knitting Fetching. These were supposed to be for me, but guess what? I don't like them. AND as if that weren't enough, I somehow knitted one about a half inch longer than the other. UGH!!! So, I should fix it, but for now, it's on punishment. They shall go in the Christmas pile. I will probably give them to my mom. I had made her a pair of the same yarn in a different colorway. These I double stranded; so,

they might be more durable for her to use for work. Plus, she's my mom. Maybe she'll overlook the extra few rows... (Yes, I will fix them before she gets them. Who knows? I might like them by then. Not likely!) I did like the colorway though. I bought two skeins from Three Bags Full in Northbrook, IL. They were 30% off; so, I paid less than $15 for both skeins. I will probably make another pair single stranded to see if I like that better. This pair only took 1 skein. I was very impressed. :) Maybe I'll go pick up three more skeins if there is any left and use this to make the turtleneck shrug. Though, I don't know if the multi-color

stranding really would work for that without being a bit too much. As you can tell, I'm blessed up top, and I don't need to draw any more attention there as it is. We'll see.

One piece of good news, on Wednesday, my swift and ball winder finally arrived. I'm in my pjs have fun winding anything I can get my hands on, and Jeff thought it would be funny to take my picture. (Can you tell how amused I am?)
Well, I'm off to start a Christmas scarf for Jeff's step-mom. Might as well do something productive while staring at the tv for the rest of the night.

Sorry to hear about the crappy day! Fetching turned out great!
Aww, that's too bad that they didnt turn out the way you wanted them too. I hate when that happens. Though, they do look nice! Regardless!
Maybe they better when you're not wearing a tank top? Try to picture them with a heavy sweater or a coat - because they ARE a winter thing after all. How sad.
I think they look nice and cozy. I was on the edge of knitting a pair myself and I think I will now take the plunge-thanks for the pics!
The look on your face is that last picture is priceless! I'm sorry about the gloves... I'm in the frusturating middle of making a pair for me as well... not like it ever gets cold in Los Angeles, but still...
I hope you have a better day today!
