It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange.
It’s based of the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on.
Here is how it works.
I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.
Remember, it's the first THREE who comment on the blog that they want to participate in the PAY IT FORWARD exchange.

I'd love to participate! I had a very gratifying pay it forward experience recently in a secret swap when my downstream pal appeared to have dropped out and I sent her a very nice package anyway, complete with handknit items, before I went ahead and did an angel package for her abandoned downstream. Later I found out that my missing pal was actually missing due to having to have brain surgery and all the nightmare leading up to that and the recovery afterward. And that she received my present the day she got home from the hospital. I was just so pleased and happy that I followed my generous instincts, and I do hope that she will pay it forward when recovered ;-)
hm, let me not hit enter before signing my name...
Wow this sounds fun! Kind of like random acts of kindness... I'll play!
COUNT ME IN, TOO!
Hey Tia! I saw your post on my blog and wanted to let you know that I'm not supposed to be in the HSKS 3 swap this time around. I signed up but told Jenean I had to drop out this round. Just too much going on. She e-mailed me back and didn't give me a partner but left me on the blog. Sorry I can't do it! It was hard to drop out-I love HP and really wanted some Ravenclaw yarn. Oh well-maybe next time. Anyway, just wanted to let know, I'm assuming you are the prefect. OK, have fun, maybe I'll see you next round.
I love the Pay It Forward and would participate too if I wasn't cutrrently in one! :-)
BTW, woo hoo to all your Ravenclaw efforts! Only one left to go and we're there! When you wrote me, I was thinking you meant Neila posted (from Scotland!) but figured it out. I sure hope we find the snitch tomorrow and can jump into the lead!
Have a fantastic evening,
Hettie
I really like this idea and may "borrow" it for my blog. Unfortunately, being out of the country, I wasn't able to respond in time, so I'll do the next best thing...PAY IT FORWARD!
